It is our mission at Teaco Laboratories, Inc. to provide prompt, accurate test results at a reasonable price. In 1975, Mr. Thomas Arnold formed a partnership with three other individuals to create Bio-Quality Laboratory. The purpose was to provide testing services to the dairy, frozen dessert and water industries. It was also established to provide competition in a market where one other laboratory provided the same services. Over a ten year period, the other 3 partners developed other interests. In 1985, Mr. Arnold acquired total control of the laboratory and changed the name to Teaco Laboratories, Inc. Today, we still provide testing services for the dairy, frozen dessert and municipal/residential water and swimming pools. We expand into areas that complement our current competencies. The laboratory is certified by both the Pennsylvania Deparment of Agriculture and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. All analyses are performed according to the Seventh Edition of Standard Methods for the Examination of Dairy Products and the Twelfth Edition of Standard Methods for the examination of Water and Wastewater.
Teaco Laboratories, Inc. offers analyses in the areas of dairy, frozen desserts and water/swimming pools. All analyses are performed according to the procedures approved and presented in the Standard Methods for the Examination of Dairy Products and the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater. Employees have had working experiences in meat processing plants, dairies and other laboratories. To maintain a high level of performance, Teaco Laboratories participates in annual proficiency tests in the various areas for which the lab has approval. In addition, the laboratory undergoes an onsite laboratory survey to evaluate laboratory equipment and employee performance. The laboratory has 2 approved laboratory directors and 4 approved samplers/testers.
Mr. Arnold graduated with a BS from Grove City College and has received his MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Arnold has held titles of Lab Director, Director of Quality Control, Certified Pool Operator and Certified Sampler. He has had 5 years experience in the meat processing industry, 5 years in a commercial lab, and 14 years experience at a large regional dairy. All in all, Mr. Arnold has over 30 years experience as a certified Laboratory Director testing dairy, frozen desserts, school lunch programs, food industry equipment swabs, frozen dinners for food pathogens, and the analysis of waters. He has also assisted customers in evaluating their cleaning procedures for soft serve and milkshake machines. He also provides solutions to well water customers that have had bad samples.
Mrs. Arnold graduated from the Latrobe Hospital School of Medical Technology. Mrs. Arnold has over 14 years of experience as a lab director and managed the Teaco office for 15 years. She has experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections. She is a certified as a sampler/ tester. She is always at the office helping customers with their issues and concerns. Her main priority is to make sure that customers' needs are met and to ensure that the office is running in a proficient manner.
